Lanvin meets... H&M??

H&M and Lanvin: It's confirmed

By Emma Sells | Posted: Thu 02 Sep 2010

It's official: H&M is teaming up with Lanvin.
Yesterday the fashion world was abuzz with rumours that H&M had signed up Lanvin for its next designer collaboration. This morning we can confirm that the rumours are indeed true and that the women's and men's collections will hit stores in November.
Just how Lanvin's luxe creations will translate onto the high street remains to be seen but Lanvin's artistic director (and ELLE's hero) Alber Elbaz said, 'I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.'
The collections will be unveiled on 2 November before hitting stores on 23rd November. Mark your diaries now...

--It's an interesting combination, but I'm excited for November 2 for sure! I don't think typical H&M shoppers will take well to a luxury price point, but those who love Lanvin from a far are going to go nuts for it.
Lanvin Resort 2010

While looking at Lanvin Resort 2010, I came across this:
Oh, Balenciaga ::sigh:: That purple dress has a death grip on my heart.
I need to win the lottery.

So, I found some Balenciage luggage at a Goodwill in JP, Boston. HOLY COW! right?! pictures to come. Forgot to mention, I paid $20 for one of the suitcases!!! What a steal.. and at a Goodwill of all places <3

i'm alive...?

It's probably not worth the time and effort to give a full on update of the past 4 months, so lets say I semi-manage a boutique, more single than before, i have an awesome luxury apt, i work over 50 hrs/wk. alright, now we're all on the same page. :)

OBSESSED... doesn't even begin to describe it. I feel a project coming on for tomorrow :)

Another Obsession: Christopher Kane, Resort 2011

from style.com

"I like to be as focused as possible," says Christopher Kane, which is why his collections always have such a strong, clear quality. Resort was no exception. Following on from last Spring's bomb motifs, he opted for flaring nebulae, as seen by the Hubble telescope. He explained that he liked "the idea of explosive outwards expansion" (a nice metaphor for what's happening with his business), but all that cosmic hyperactivity also yielded some great prints (translating beautifully into silk cashmere knitwear, too), with plenty of the interplay between light and darkness that's a Kane signature. -taken from Tim Blanks
I freaking LOVE everything this man does.

OH! and I can't forget about this:
Me and William Fitzsimmons <3 He's amazing... especially if you're into sad, slow, beautiful indie music. We both look awkward in this pic. haha.
